About me

My name is Esther Gathu. I am a qualified mental health nurse (RMN) and a certified therapist with vast experience supporting individuals through complex psychological and social challenges.
My work focuses on structured, evidence-informed approaches that prioritise clarity, practical change, empowerment and long-term stability.
This approach is also informed by ongoing development of structured interventions for complex psycho-social needs.
Integrative Transformation Therapy
This is a structured, psychology-based approach designed to help you understand what is driving your experience and begin creating meaningful, empowering and lasting change.
You may be functioning in your day-to-day life, yet still feel unsettled, stuck, or unable to move forward in the way you want.
You may already have insight into your patterns, yet find yourself repeating the same internal experiences, behaviours, or emotional responses.
The focus here is not simply on awareness, but on working through these patterns in a structured and practical way so that empowered change can take place.
This is for you if:-
You are able to reflect and understand yourself, yet notice that this awareness is not translating into consistent change
You feel unsettled or stuck without a clear external reason, even while managing your day-to-day responsibilities
You recognise similar internal experiences showing up across different situations or areas of your life
You are looking for a more structured and effective way to create movement, rather than continuing to think things through without resolution

Book Your First Session
This work is designed as a structured process rather than a single session.
We begin with an initial session to explore your current challenges in depth, identify key patterns, and establish direction.
From there, we continue through a focused series of sessions where the work is applied, developed, and embedded over time.
How it works:-
A brief conversation to understand your situation and determine whether this approach is suitable for you.
2. First Session
A focused session to explore your patterns in depth, clarify what is maintaining them, and begin creating movement.
3. Ongoing Sessions
A structured series of sessions designed to work through patterns, build stability, and support lasting change.
Meaningful change rarely occurs in a single session. The focus here is on creating consistent movement over time with the aim to support you in moving from feeling stuck and uncertain to functioning with greater clarity, stability, and control over time.
